Dear families and students,
I hope you are doing well and ready to start Spanish online learning this week. The remainder of the course will be divided out into modified units aimed at covering the newly agreed upon “Essential Learning” from our Descubre text and curriculum. Each unit will include instruction, multiple opportunities for practice, and a unit assessment. Students and families will receive weekly updates that outline a schedule of activities that will be provided for students. These updates will be posted on my website and in our TEAMS classroom. Within this schedule, there will be a variety of activities that will allow students to practice multiple facets of learning a language. These assignments need to be submitted by each indicated due date. In order to complete the assigned activities, students will be required to access to each of the following online platforms:
I will be offering office hours for students and parents to reach me with any questions that they have on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 11:00 am - 1:00pm. I will be available for my office hours through direct email ([email protected]). Outside of the designated office hours, I will still be responding to emails as quickly as possible, and I will be accessing my email regularly. Have a great day, Profe Ochea Hola estudiantes,
I have been checking your work of this week. Thank you for your creativity and good use of the Spanish language. I want to give you heads up about YABLA. The last couple of weeks I have assigned activities on Yabla where you have to watch a video and then complete two or three assignments related to the video. Right now, those activities are a part of the big review we are completing. Therefore, they are NOT GRADED, but starting on April 20th, the Yabla activities will be included in your grade. Please, use the link I left for you on my website to visit the Yabla site and get familiar with it. Make sure you create an account and enroll in the correct class. (Skyline.Ochea.ESP2 or Skyline.Ochea.ESP3). I hope you are having a good week. Stay safe and healthy. Nos vemos pronto.
